These standard contest rules apply to all MekTrader contests, conducted both online and offline. They may be amended or varied from time to time by MekTrader without notice. Special rules may apply to particular contests, in which case an addendum to these rules will be made for that contest. Please enquire at contests@mektrader.com for any special rules for contests you wish to enter.

All winners, unless otherwise specified, must respond to the MekTrader.com winner notification email within 10 DAYS of winning. MekTrader.com will make every attempt to contact winners to ensure collection of their prize within the 10-day period. Prizes not collected within the period will be treated as forfeited, and will be dealt with in accordance with the wishes of MekTrader.com for their disposal. If prize has not been claimed by this date, winner forfeits the prize and MekTrader.com reserves the right to select another winner.

Contests are open to all legal residents of the United States. MekTrader.com reserves the right to set any age requirement for any contest, at any time. If winner is a minor, prize will be awarded to winner's parent or legal guardian.

All prizes must be claimed in person, unless otherwise determined by MekTrader.com. PROPER IDENTIFICATION is required (photographic ID such as valid driver's license, passport, student identification, including photograph). No proxies (authorized agents or written authorizations) are accepted. The actual prizewinner must claim prize. (See age note below.) (Note: All contestants acknowledge that MekTrader.com can rely on this proper identification rule even if MekTrader.com only learns of a person's ineligibility after MekTrader.com has appeared to award the prize to the ineligible person. Return of the prize or payment of its value to MekTrader.com can be required by MekTrader.com if this occurs.)

A person is ineligible to enter and/or win a contest if:

1. They are an employee or a member of the immediate family of an employee of MekTrader.com PARENT COMPANY MEK TRADER, INC., OR ANY OF IT'S DIVISIONS / any related web presence / contracted vendor or service provider of MekTrader.com / or their advertising agencies / or a sponsor of or associated with the contest.
2. They have previously won a prize/prizes individually or collectively from MekTrader.com as part of the same contest.
3. They are discovered to have used or attempted to use any more than one name/email in order to qualify to win prizes from MekTrader.com.

Any contest must have a minimum of 5000 contestants or no prizes will be awarded.

In case of a dispute over multiple entries, MekTrader.com's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

A copy of these General Contest Rules must be signed and endorsed by any winner upon request by MekTrader.com.

All prizes are used/taken entirely at the risk of the winner in all things, and MekTrader.com excludes all warranties in connection with any prize to the extent permitted by law.

MekTrader.com and parent MEK TRADER, INC., its agencies, affiliates, sponsors and representatives are not liable for any loss arising out of or in connection with or resulting from any contest promoted by MekTrader.com.

Contest entries and material submitted in connection with any contest (whether in writing, via the web or email, audio or visual form, or a combination of those) becomes the property of MekTrader.com who may use the material. Copyright in any such material is assigned to MekTrader.com.

All prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.

Winners understand and agree that they are liable for any tax or taxes incurred on prizes awarded or received.

In relation to prizes involving participation in any activity:

1. MekTrader.com and its employees and agents will be fully released from and indemnified by the winner in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life in connection with winner's participation in the prize.
2. The winner may, at the option of MekTrader.com, be required to sign a form of indemnity required by MekTrader.com as a pre-condition of entitlement to the prize; and
3. If a winner is under the age of 18, their parent/guardian will need to sign the indemnity and consent to the winner's participation in the prize.
4. If the specified prize becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, MekTrader.com may substitute a prize of like or equal value, though it is NOT required to do so. If concert or other ticketed event has been awarded as a prize and the concert or event is postponed, rained out, cancelled or for other reasons beyond our control does not occur, MekTrader.com will not be responsible for replacing the prize.
5. Unless otherwise specified the class of travel for any travel prize incorporating airfare, is economy class and winners must be over the age of 18 to be eligible to win any travel prize.
6. A winner must make him or herself available for a photo or video session or telephone or web-based interview (choice of format at the discretion of MekTrader.com) if required and acknowledges that MekTrader.com has the right to use the publicity photos/film/videos/audios, in any reasonable manner it sees fit.
7. MekTrader.com may publicize, broadcast or otherwise disclose a winner's name, photo or video image or any recording of the winner's voice or any written submissions (via email or via website postings) in advertising or promotion concerning winning of the contest, or MekTrader.com contests generally.
8. MekTrader.com may incorporate information from entrants in any contest(s) in any database for use for the purpose of its business.
9. Any failure by MekTrader.com to enforce any of these rules in any instance(s) will not give rise to any claim by any other person.

Unless otherwise specified in special contest Terms and Conditions, no person may enter any single contest more than once.

Each qualifier must disclose his or her legal name, address, telephone number and Social Security number to MekTrader.com. Upon disclosure of the above information, the person will be officially eligible to be declared a winner despite any such inference on the internet. Any person found to have supplied false or misleading information may be disqualified from the contest and would therefore forfeit the prize. All entrants to any MekTrader.com contest both imply and agree to participate in the contests and obey the rules by their participation in the contest.

Mail Contests: Only one entry per person will be accepted unless otherwise specified in separate contest rules. Winning entry(s) will be drawn at random from all valid entries received unless otherwise specified in contest rules. MekTrader.com is not responsible for late, misdirected, lost or mutilated mail, entry forms or faxes. No liability is assumed by MekTrader.com for any malfunction of computer equipment, fax machine equipment or fax machine telephone lines. If entry is illegible or does not supply all information deemed necessary to declare a winner, entry will be deemed invalid and another entry will be selected.

Web Site Contests of others: When entering a contest via an advertisers web banner or logo hyperlink, MekTrader.com is not responsible for prize fulfillment or any aspect of the contest. MekTrader.com is simply a link to that advertisers site. As a condition of winning, no contest winner may represent, or appear in an advertisement for any other (by geographic treatment of subject matter) web portal, other than MekTrader.com for a period of one year from the date they win the contest. Winners also may not grant interviews about their participation in any MekTrader.com contests or make public comments in any medium, including the Internet without prior written permission of MekTrader.com. Additionally, no prize may be used in any way that would be disparaging to MekTrader.com.

MekTrader.com will not be responsible for lost, stolen, misdirected, or late mail, email, or web postings. Prizes mailed with or without winners request cannot be replaced.

Contests are void where prohibited or restricted by law. All Federal, State, Local laws and regulations shall apply.

MekTrader.com reserves the right to disqualify any contestant and determine an alternate winner at random in the event that any of these contest rules are not met. Contestant must provide legal ID and Social Security number to claim prize. All prizes valued over $599.00 are subject to applicable state and/or federal taxes and a 1099 tax form will be issued to the winner. Winner must sign a legal release form provided by MekTrader.com to obtain prizes valued over $599.00

Should a winner die before claiming his/her prize, said prize will be awarded to winner's estate, subject to all other applicable laws.

No purchase or consideration is necessary to win unless otherwise stated.

Decisions by MekTrader.com regarding winner and all contest details are final and binding in all respects.

MekTrader.com and its sponsors are not responsible for any typographical or other error in printing or emailing or web publication of the offer, administration of the sweepstakes, or in the announcement prizes.

In accepting a MekTrader.com prize, the winner accepts to take the prize as outlined in such promotion. Winner cannot change dates for concert, flight departure/arrival, weekend stays, etc. If winner is not able or chooses not to accept prize as is, winner forfeits his/her prize. MekTrader.com reserves the right to select another winner. Winner is responsible for all costs associated with travel to any venue or event for which a prize was awarded, unless otherwise specified.

Winner agrees to accept all blackout dates, space availability requirements, etc. established by MekTrader.com prize partner(s), such as hotels, airlines, trains, ships, etc. Winner agrees that acceptance of any trip taken as a prize from MekTrader.com does so entirely upon his or her own initiative, risk, and responsibility. If the trip requires traveling outside of the United States, the winner, upon winning the prize, must have a valid US passport. If the winner does not have a valid US passport upon winning the prize, the trip may be forfeited.

All winners, by acceptance of prize, agree to release MekTrader.com, its promotional partner(s), and clients, together with their respective parent companies and subsidiaries from any liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses of any kind to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt or use of prize or while traveling to or from any prize related activity.

Odds of winning are undeterminable and depend on varying response rates, Internet access and/or the volume of entries received by any medium or mediums.

If any portion of the above rules is determined to be unenforceable due to local or state laws, all other portions of these official rules shall remain in effect.
